Positions through essaying — week 2

I’ve edited my video using an open source video editor called Shotcut, which I’ve found really effective, it’s a got a simple interface with limited filters (I’m using a really old version as my laptop is still running OS 10.15) but with a lot of control over export options and multi channel audio and video. I’ve found it runs smoothly on my laptop and means I don’t need an internet connection to work, which cuts down on energy usage whilst working too.

I’ve used a rough script of imagery and text snippets to direct my editing and have used inDesign to create captions and frame animation layers, this has also helped me think about the text version and how the visual language of the video can come into a static file.
