All three drafts of my written response have been included in the pdf above. I have only monoprinted a portion of the final writing as the process is very time consuming, having to paint the letters onto the plate.
I did some tests using handwritten letterforms, but they changed the mode of address so significantly, and really made no good use of monoprinting as medium. The process I used was inspired by an ad in Mousse, and although its a digital rendering the bristly outlining seemed like it would translate well through brushes and paints.

The process of painting the plate involved working with a underlay image of the text flipped for printing. I then worked the paint around key words trying to maintain a balance between fluid brushstrokes and accuracy enough to ensure the text would remain legible. This felt a lot like the concerns I was coming up against with monoprinting throughout the copies and iterations. Though the underlay is quite prescriptive, much more detailed than the line drawings I was using to direct my iterations the resulting prints are quite far removed from those underlay printouts.
